Welcome to Sister Next Door. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
Sister Next Door is a private, women-only community platform that connects Muslim mothers and women in the Chicago area. Our platform allows members to offer or request services (such as babysitting, cooking, and errands), exchange donated items, and participate in community discussions.
Sister Next Door is a platform only. We do not employ, train, supervise, or take responsibility for any helper, seller, or service provider. All arrangements made through the platform are solely between the two parties involved.
To join Sister Next Door you must:
We reserve the right to decline or remove any account that does not meet these requirements or that violates community standards.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with anyone or allow others to use it on your behalf. Notify us immediately at hello@sisternextdoor.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
When you arrange a service through Sister Next Door:
Payments for services are held securely by our payment processor and released to the helper only after you confirm the session is complete. In the event of a dispute, contact us and we will do our best to assist, but we cannot guarantee refunds as we are not a party to the arrangement.
Donations listed on the platform are free of charge. No payment should be requested or accepted for donated items.
Sister Next Door is a community platform only. We do not employ, screen beyond ID verification, or supervise any helper, seller, or service provider. All arrangements — including childcare, food, beauty services, and marketplace transactions — are made solely between the two parties involved. Sister Next Door bears no responsibility for service quality, food safety, personal injury, property damage, or any disputes arising from these arrangements. By using this platform, you accept full responsibility for evaluating the suitability of any arrangement you enter into.
All members must treat each other with respect, honesty, and Islamic values of kindness and fairness. The following are strictly prohibited:
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent removal from the community.
All content on Sister Next Door — including logos, designs, and platform functionality — belongs to Sister Next Door. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without written permission. Content you post (reviews, profile information) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it on the platform.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your profile is removed from the platform and pending bookings are cancelled.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active members of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of Sister Next Door after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
